Patrick graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization in Kinesiology Bachelor of Science degree with distinction. Since then he has completed his Masters of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University (2014) under the supervision of Dr. Maureen MacDonald. His Master's thesis focused on assessing cardiovascular health and physical activity levels in adults with cerebral palsy (CP) through the use of ultrasound technology and accelerometry, respectively. Patrick is currently a PhD student in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University working under the supervision of Dr. Jan Willem Gorter. Patrick plans to further examine the relationships between physical activity levels and cardiovascular health in adolescents, adults, and older adults with cerebral palsy.
